What is the standard approach to provide roles to Auditor and what roles has to be provided who can read the data for audit management?

It depends on what needs to be audited. 

Standard approach is always to add the role(s) to a group and the user(s) to the group.

The snc_read_only role will allow you to give them all roles needed to access the tables, but with the overlay of them not being able to change anything.
