Targeting ServiceNow Architect role

rotncluster

With 18 years of Telecom experience globally, I want to explore the service now platform to prepare myself to club my huge telecom experience with service now and pitch for the architect level role. Your advice and path to guide is highly appreciated. All views welcomed. Thank you !

ahoy @rotncluster,

do I understand it correctly that you have years of experience out of ServiceNow and you want to become an architect in ServiceNow?

That would be quite difficult, not gonna lie, you cannot just take knowledge and apply it to a different platform. It will require understanding of all the ServiceNow basics, features and products. Having some external knowledge can be advantage but maybe even disadvantage... because you might know the things to be done differently.

It will take you years to become one, be aware of that.

If you want to speedtrack it, you might need to pass CSA, CAD and then ArchX courses (search for them at the University), it will give you some fundamental understanding but experience are more important than a paper... you can also check this path of ServiceNow Architect
