Can somebody give me a simple licensing scheme for ITOM products/modules?
I've been asking our sales contact but haven't got a single reply yet.
I have some extra budget left over this year and want to use it for ITOM. Need to know what I would be able to do.
Is there a basic license to use discover for on-site network equipments and servers? Additional license for event processing? Is ssl certificate an additional license? Additional for cloud services?
I just need a ball park figure now to tell the boss what I would be able to do within the budget.
Would appreciate any help

Hi @Hitoshi Ozawa,
for sure this question can only be answered accurately by your Account Manager.
But as I know you can licence each product à la carte (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management and Cloud Provisioning and Governance, AIOps ...). There are also bundles: ITOM Visibility (Discovery and Service Mapping), ITOM Health (Event Management, Health Log Analytices ) and ITOM Optimization (Cloud Provisioning and Governance) and maybe much more bundle options.
ITOM Licence is Subscription Unit based - means you purchase a Subscription Unit for X$. Depending on the product each Subscription Unit includes a number of devices which are discovered or managed via Event Management or Cloud Governance. The ratio of SU to device depends on the device type. You can find the current ratios here: https://www.servicenow.com/products/entitlements-packages.html, ITOM.
With table above: each Server you discover will be a SU. But Network devices don't utilize a SU.
Greets
Daniel

I just need a ballpark price for them.
I've already installed it once long time ago. There was a pricing change and I just need the ballpark price with the current scheme.

@Hitoshi Ozawa, Ballpark price you won't get in the community - but your ServiceNow Account Manager should help here fast.

I'm having a very difficult time getting it from him. (sigh)
EDIT: got a reply. Thought it was more expensive.
I already have ansible and pythons scripts to configure network devices so just have ServiceNow call them on condition. The processes are all already streamlined so my onsite devices are 100% up, maintain downtime is 0 as well as number of inquiries and incidents to be less than 2 per month.
Unfortunately, cloud services are still not managed and processes are not automated and streamlined. Trying to them up to the same level this time.
BTW, I'm using generative AI to streamline the processes to achieve this. Not using generative AI to automatically respond to end-users to to events. Haven't seem too much discussion in forum of using generative AI on changing processes so end-users won't have to contact me.
