Armis Collector Information - Extended Support for Debian 11

Armis by ServiceNow is committed to maintaining our technology stack at the highest security levels. Although we began upgrading collector operating systems from Debian 11 to Debian 12 last year, we recognize the significant effort required for customers to update all collectors. To ensure continued stability and security, Armis has secured extended support for Debian 11 through 2028.

By extending security support for Debian 11, we offer the timeline and adaptability required to plan and implement operating system upgrades gradually, all while ensuring your customer environment stays fully protected and compliant.

Debian 11 Extended Security Support Beyond EOL

While the official support for Debian 11 ends in August 2026, we have taken the following proactive measures to ensure zero exposure or compliance risk during this transition:

• 3rd-Party Vendor Support - We have secured extended security maintenance through a specialized vendor - Freexian - Debian’s officially recommended ELTS vendor.
• Extended patch and vulnerability support - This agreement ensures all Debian 11 collectors will receive full security patches and vulnerability coverage through the end of 2028 and more if needed.

No immediate action is required. The Armis Customer Success team will reach out to coordinate the upgrade to Debian 12.  Armis collectors running Debian 11 will continue to receive all security updates until the collector can be upgraded.
