Hi All,

I have 4.5 years of experience in ServiceNow, with expertise in ITSM and HRSD. I have also completed multiple certifications and am currently learning ITOM and AI Agents.

As AI continues to simplify configuration-related activities, I am wondering what skills or specializations will remain highly valuable in the future. Am I on the right path, or should I focus on other areas as well?

I am particularly interested in exploring aspects of ServiceNow beyond configuration that are more challenging, innovative, and engaging.

Would love to hear your thoughts and recommendations.

ahoy @kali,

you are certainly on the right path, just don't forget that certifications are not everything. I knew a few people who had 10 CIS and yet were not that skilled as someone with 2 CIS who was super skilled due to direct experiences without having a paper for that.. so it will strongly depend on what is your actual experience ratehr than the list of certs (which are of course important, not saying the opposite)

Also, you asked about the skills, that would be depending on the role that you want to become (or have became) - different skills might be required for analyst and different for architect etc.

What you can check are the ServiceNow Career Journeys & ServiceNow Career Paths

  • Pick a ServiceNow Career Path that matches your interests.
  • We’ll help you start at the right level based on your skills.
  • A ServiceNow Credential gives you industry recognition.
  • It proves your investment and boosts your professional value.

Let me know how does it look to you and get back if you want to talk something in details (eventually drop a DM)
