Expense Reimbursement App Built with ServiceNow Build Agent – Challenge Completed!

As part of the  #BuildWithBuildAgent challenge, I created a complete Employee Expense Reimbursement Application using the ServiceNow Build Agent

Thank you @laurentapia  for leading this initiative and inspiring these practical builds!

App Concept

A simple and real-world application where employees submit expense claims and managers review and approve them. This workflow is widely used across corporate environments, making it a perfect use case for Build Agent.

🚀What I Built

  • Submit New Expense Request

  • My Requests (employee view)

  • My Approvals (manager view)

  • Dashboard with charts and key metrics

  • Clean and modern UI styling

  • Tested through impersonation for both employee and manager experiences

 👜Business Impact

  • Faster and more organized expense submission

  • Clear visibility for employees

  • Streamlined approvals for managers

  • Reduced manual effort for finance teams

  • Centralized and auditable records

  • Better insights through dashboards

📘Key Learnings

  • Build Agent rapidly converts requirements into functional apps using natural-language prompts.

  • UI alignment, colors, and layout can be refined easily with short instructions.

  • Impersonation is extremely effective for validating role-based experiences.

  • AI-assisted development significantly reduces configuration time.

  • Real corporate workflows like reimbursements can be built quickly and cleanly.
