Hey-ho SNUG Bulgaria,

long time no one have not posted anything, so I decided to try to revive this a bit. I am using a really powerful and very handy add-on for Chrome named ServiceNowUtils. It is developed by Arnold Kooi and is free to use. You can find it here in Github if you need to add some functionality (like I did) or get it directly from Chrome addons :

https://github.com/arnoudkooi/ServiceNow-Utils

You can edit scripts/files in your favourite editor and on save they are pushed auto to SN, check values, sys names, on the fly scripts and - well you name it its there - with this extremely helpful and powerful tool. Just a screenshot of it and how it looks like. If you do extensive development/implementation or just administration - this is a must-to-have utility. Hope this will help you guys like it does for me 🙂

Cheers,

Joro

Although I am a huuuge fan of the ServiceNowUtils plugin I have noticed some weird behaviour.

There was a rather annoying bug with it - cannot copy/paste text without it trying to add an attachment (opens a new window to the attachments table).
Also, it did strange things with related list record links: I clicked on a story number from a sprint, and it instead opened the sprint - didn't do this for all records though, sometimes it worked fine.

Have you experienced these? I stopped using it because of it but it could be updated in the new version...

Yup,

there were some bugs in the older versions. Now all should be fine AFAIK.

If anyone is not able to get the SNUtil working for an  on premise instance, you should open the folder where your Chrome is holding the plugins, find the SNUtils folder and just change any *service-now* URLs with your instance' URL instead. If anyone have issues with this - ping me and I can assist with that 🙂

Once again - thank you Arnoud Kooi for creating this awesome tool !

Cheers,

Joro

Now you have SNUtils for FF and for on premise instances. The synch to VSCode is great and gave me the idea to add IntelliSense and all Glide objects we have (well these I am aware of at least). When I get this to fully work will share the link (or if anyone wants to contribute - let me know so we can wrap up this extremely useful thingy). Cheers, Joro
