The journey to earn a ServiceNow certification, such as the Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD), can be challenging. Two of the most common problems professionals face are unifying certification accounts and finding vouchers for exams.
This article was created to solve these issues once and for all. I've written other articles about certification before, and this guide serves as a practical tool to optimize your certification process.
This response started from two questions in the community:
A. Profile Issues: Merging Certifications into a Single Account
It's a common and frustrating problem: you've completed the training and exams, but your certifications are on different Webassessor accounts. This usually happens when different email addresses are used for each exam registration. Even after merging your accounts on the ServiceNow Community or Now Learning, the certifications may not automatically sync if the Webassessor IDs are different.
The Correct Solution The only way to resolve this issue is to open a case directly with ServiceNow Training and Certification Support. They have the authority and tools to manually merge the records and ensure that all your certifications, such as the CSA and CAD, appear on a single, unified profile.
To request a merger, follow these steps:

Access the Training and Certification team's support portal via this link:

When you open the case, include the following information:

Both Webassessor IDs you want to merge.

B. Exam Vouchers: How to Get a Discount or a Free Exam
Most exam vouchers for certifications like the CSA are not made available openly or for free to the general public. Instead, they are distributed through official channels and sponsored programs, ensuring that the investment in training aligns with the platform's strategic growth.
The Main Sources for Vouchers The best place to look for exam vouchers is through one of these channels:

Official ServiceNow Programs: The company occasionally launches initiatives, such as RiseUp with ServiceNow, which offer free or discounted vouchers to boost the growth of the talent community. However, these are limited-time campaigns and are often focused on specific regions.

Partner Organizations: Many ServiceNow partner companies (like Infosys) have partnership agreements that include internal voucher distribution as part of their investment in employee training. In these cases, distribution is handled by the internal Training & Certification teams.

Training and Development Programs: Employers can sponsor their employees' training and exams, offering vouchers as a benefit.
If you work for a partner company, the best approach is always to check internally with your Human Resources or Training & Certification team to see if a voucher allocation is available.
If none of the above channels are an option, the certification must be registered and paid for directly through Webassessor to secure your spot for the exam.com
