Hello Central PA Members!

We are looking for a SNUG Leader for Central Pennsylvania! Our SNUG Leaders are essential to help us stay in tuned with the needs of the unique needs of each community! Please consider participating in the next event planning later this year!

SNUG Leaders must be employed by a ServiceNow customer and not employed by a ServiceNow partner.

Here is a snapshot of the role of the SNUG Leader:

  • Participate in planning calls to ensure events are aligned to the needs of the SNUG community including dates, venues and topics
  • Help identify customer speakers
  • Assist in getting hosts, and suggest potential venue locations
  • Gather broader feedback on the needs of the group
  • Emcee at meetings if possible
  • Promote online community involvement by posting questions and blogs to encourage an on-going dialog with community members
  • The time commitment is roughly 1-2 hours/year for event planning and 6-8 hours attending the event if possible!

The ServiceNow team manages:

  • Invitations and registrations
  • Meeting planning and coordination
  • Venue and catering costs

SNUG Leaders play the important role of helping us ensure that members get the most value from attending SNUG meetings and to keep the conversation going by participating in the on-line SNUG community.  The planning and execution of the event is managed by ServiceNow.

SNUG Leaders play an elevated role within the community and receive special recognition at SNUG meetings, on-line, and at Knowledge.

I have attached the Customer Participation guide as reference that explains the role further along with best practices for SNUG Leaders.

If you are interested, please send an email to tracy.obrien@servicenow.com or respond to this post in on the community. Please share more about your experience with ServiceNow and why you’re interested in being a SNUG Leader for Central PA.

I'm still in the 'early learning' phase of Service Now. I've only been working in the GRC Module for a few weeks.

Interested in learning more about getting involved in the Central PA SNUG.

Hello Michael!

Welcome aboard to ServiceNow! If you haven't yet, I recommend requesting a free developer instance of ServiceNow that you can use as a sandbox! Also, there are a number of free and paid trainings on NowLearning that you can use to help get you started clicking around ServiceNow.
NowCreate has a number of implementation guides for successfully launching and using modules on the platform, including for GRC, which can help guide on best practices.

The 2025 SNUG is still still in the planning stages and there will be an updated posted here when we have more details.

En garde,

Nick
