Hi Everyone,
Currently, we are unable to identify a suitable existing CMDB CI class or model to represent network appliances in ServiceNow.
We are looking to understand whether there is an out‑of‑the‑box CI class or model that can appropriately represent network appliance–type products such as:
- Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
- Infoblox nodes
- IPFabric
- Other similar network appliance or network management tools
Our intent is not to create new Model IDs or custom CI classes, but rather to confirm whether these network appliances can be correctly mapped to an existing CI class in line with CMDB / CSDM best practices.
Could you please advise on the recommended existing CI class or modeling approach for such network appliances?
