I am trying to figure out how to use the Data policy Delete related CMDB Entry.
The documentation is not helping and the latest slides from ServiceNow does not help either.
Does anyone have a step by step explanation (especially what options are for policy tables)?

The "Delete Related CMDB Entry" policy type covers deleting records from related tables (e.g. cmdb_key_value).
When Data Manager removes CIs from the CMDB, it can leave behind records in related tables. This policy type allows you to clean up the "orphaned" records in the related tables. You can use a filter condition that checks if the Configuration Item reference field for a record in a specific related list table is empty. Any matching records will then be automatically removed.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Can you give a link to the documentation so I can read more.
I think I need to try it a couple of times to get the feeling 😉

Here's a link to the product documentation for what it's worth - the Delete CMDB related entry policy type is described briefly. This policy restricts you to selecting tables commonly related to the CI tables.
As mentioned previously, you can include a condition in the policy's Data filter that checks if the Configuration Item reference field in a related table record is empty, in which case the record will be safe to delete. If in doubt, you can set the "Requires approval" policy option to true in which case approval will be required for the tasks generated for the policy.
Try it out on a sub-production instance where you have some good data to work with i.e. CIs with related table records (e.g. Serial Numbers, Tags, etc) and hope this helps.
