I have a couple of questions about the Normalization feature, and I haven't been able to find clear answers in the documentation.
1. Reference qualifier updates during Normalization setup
During the Normalization implementation, there is a step that requires updating the reference qualifiers for fields that reference the core_company table.
My question is: Would these reference qualifier updated by the plugin be considered customizations, and could they appear as skipped records or create issues during future upgrades?
2. Handling duplicate company/vendor records
If I have two records in the Company table, for example, Dell and Dell Inc, and only Dell Inc is marked as a vendor, the Normalization process will set Dell Inc to normalized = false (because it becomes the alias record).
This leads to a scenario where reference fields, particularly vendor fields that use updated qualifiers, will no longer show Dell Inc as an option.
With that in mind, does this mean I need to manually correct or consolidate any company records that should be both normalized and available as a vendor or manufacturer option?
Any guidance or best practices would be much appreciated!
