Retirement policy is generating 2 approval tasks for each user in the approval group

I have a retirement policy set up via CMDB Workspace Data Manager and assigned to a specific user group. This policy is generating 2 approvals for each member in the group and i cannot figure out why this is happening. Does anyone have an idea?

How many records are included in the policy? As far as I know there is a 10,000 record limit per task. So if you have 10,001 records or more you will get two tasks and therefore two approvals.

Thanks for replying. Here is an example in which i  only have 33 records in the task, yet the same task has generatated triple approvals for the 2 users in the assignment group.

What assignment type did you select in your policy?
