Hi all — I’m trying to confirm the ServiceNow best practice for capturing the accountable Service Manager / Service Owner in the CMDB.
Should this person be recorded on the Business Application, the Application Service , a Business Service, a Service Offering, or another CI type?
Also, which field is intended for this: Managed by, Owned by, or something else?
I’m specifically looking for guidance on where the accountable operational contact should live so that ownership is consistent and usable for support/governance.

Hi @mykola_korsikov ,
Basically you have the owned by which is populated on many different classes in ServiceNow. The reason is, that an owner of a business application, service instance, service offering or a business or technical service can be the same or be different. This is fully up to what you define internally in your company.
If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.
Best regards
