Is the knowledge checkbox on the incident form being "retired"?

My organization is about to implement Now Assist.  I have seen some conversation that suggests the knowledge checkbox used to create knowledge from the incident form will no longer be used when Now Assist is implemented.  Is this true?  I would like to know so that I can inform the teams in my org. that create knowledge articles.

Hi @Suzy_Hyslip,

if you are asking whether the Now Assist's "KB generation" AI Skill will disallow to write KB articles, then no.

You can select whether you want a draft to be generated by Now Assist, then you can eventually edit it or to compose it fully yourself.

Hi @Suzy_Hyslip ,

No, the knowledge checkbox on the incident form will not be removed when Now Assist is implemented. Now Assist introduces like "Generate Article" in the Now Assist panel or a "Create Knowledge" UI action on Form.

I think Suzy is referring to the checkbox that is on the incident form. If checked it will automatically start a knowledge article once an incident gets closed.
