Just got a message when accessing my PDI 'Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue'

Hello,

I’m trying to log into my PDI account, but I’m receiving this error message: 😞

Firefox detected an issue and couldn’t connect to devXXXXX.service-now.com. The website might be misconfigured, or your computer clock might be set to the wrong time.

It’s possible that the website’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely.

What can I do about it?
devXXXXX.service-now.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. Unfortunately, you can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue seems to be with the website itself, and there’s nothing you can do to resolve it. You could contact the website’s administrator to report the problem.

Do you have any ideas on how to fix this?

By the way, I can't continue when using Firefox.

Thanks in advance for your help.

This isn't likely a problem on any PDI - it is in the hosting infrastructure. They have an old SSL certificate on a load balancer or similar issue. I wouldn't request a new PDI just yet.

Agree on the root cause, new instance to be requested only in case that you want to try something now and not to have waiting, for example project related stuff needs to be tested asap etc…

Hi All,

Just release again my PDI (forth time today), and requested again in the Xanadu release, and now the issue has gone and the certificate is valid to 12th OCT 2025.

No updates yet for those who are not able to release their instance due some development done.

Hi @Karim Kabbara1 ,

It is happening as ServieNow SSL certificate is expired so it is navigating you to http:// rather than https://. Many other people are affected by this and hope it will be fixed soon by ServiceNow.

Solution: - Open developer.servicenow.com in incognito mode and sign in and launch PDI. It will display error, but it will also display Advanced option towards footer. Click on it and on next screen click on "Procced <PDI URL> unsafe" link and you will be able to access your PDI.
