I got a message last Sunday that, due to inactivity on my PDI, it has been reclaimed. I made an attempt to sign into my PDI, but it shows unscheduled maintenance for the past two days. Should I release the instance and request a new one?

Hi @BayodeO ,
If your PDI has been reclaimed (you can verify this by logging in through https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#!/home) and see if you can see your instance) then there is no other way that request a fresh installation. There is no possible way of getting the old back or restore from previous.

Hi @BayodeO ,
Unfortunately, there is no support for PDIs available from servicenow, you will have to wait untill the maintenance is over. this might takes couple of more days or even sooner.
