Hi Community,
I’m working on an integration between Workday and ServiceNow using the Workday Spoke. When I enable the Departments checkbox in the Workday flow, the departments populate correctly in ServiceNow.
The issue is that I need the Name field to have a different format than what Workday sends by default. I tried using a Calculated Value to adjust the format, but I ran into this problem:
- When I apply filters in lists or reports, the filtering still uses the original value from Workday, not the calculated one.
- This creates inconsistencies because users see one format, but the system filters using another.
Question:
Has anyone faced this scenario?
- Is there a way to make the calculated value the actual value used for searches and filters?
- Do I need to overwrite the original value in the Name field, or is there a best practice for handling this?
