Debugging the issue "incident number is not visible":
1. Open incident form > Right click on number field > configure dictionary > Make sure display checkbox is true with this "Use dynamic default" and "Dynamic default value" are as per the screenshot mentioned.

Refer below post,
From Application Navigator go to incident.LIST -> Configure -> All -> Dictionary Fields. Check which fields are marked as display true. Make sure only the number field is marked as true and the incident number value will appear.
