unmask incident number in number field for new incident records

Hi All,

 

By mistake, i tried to change the default value of incident number. I am not able to see the incident number in number field

 

I attached the screen shot of it, please help me with the solution as soon as possible

Debugging the issue "incident number is not visible":

1. Open incident form > Right click on number field > configure dictionary > Make sure display checkbox is true with this "Use dynamic default" and "Dynamic default value" are as per the screenshot mentioned.

2. Make sure there is no BR working on before and after the record insertion or update. May be that's the reason value is being cleared through script.
 
Note - It would be good if you provide an idea like after what updates incident number field value become not visible or cleared so we can debug in the more precise and right direction.

From Application Navigator go to incident.LIST -> Configure -> All -> Dictionary Fields. Check which fields are marked as display true. Make sure only the number field is marked as true and the incident number value will appear.
