We’re a cross‑border e‑commerce team (50 agents, SEA + Europe). Zendesk is too expensive and clumsy with languages (Tagalog, Thai, Vietnamese), channels (WhatsApp, Line, Viber), and compliance (GDPR/PDPA). We’d like an open‑source or affordable platform that unifies all channels, does real‑time translation (>10 languages), and includes basic AI automation for FAQs (order status, returns). Compliance monitoring (automated disclosures, audit trails) would be a big plus. Tried Chatwoot – good for unification, but translation and compliance are DIY. Any other suggestions? Self‑hosting is fine if community support is solid.
