Mandatory option greyed out and cannot remove from form fields

When the Contract Management Pro for Legal Service Delivery scope is selected, within a Legal Contract Request, there are several form fields that are mandatory. The problem is, I didn't make them mandatory. They're mandatory OOB.  But, I cannot find what is making them mandatory. I've checked the Dictionary, Client Scripts, Business Rules, and UI Policies and none of them are setting these as mandatory OOB.

I've also tried creating a script to remove the mandatory flag but nothing is working.

Can someone tell what is making these fields mandatory and where it is??

And, why the Mandatory option cannot be selected??

Solved it!

On the Legal Contract Request from, go to Configure > Client Scripts > Hide Legal Fields Section on LR.

The two fields, Country & Contract start date needed to NOT be mandatory, were part of an array in the client script. Once I removed them from the script, the mandatory flag was gone.

Glad you found it! Client script usage is high in Legal Service Delivery vs the other, shall we say "more traditional/common" approaches for making things mandatory/not mandatory and visible/not visible if my memory is serving me completely.
