Noob question creating Flow from training (If approval rejected, it's assigned?)

Happy Friday all-  Hoping someone can lift up my weekend as this just might keep me up at night 😅

I've completed the attached flow from "Create a flow - Yokohama" Training module.  Steps 5 and 11 both set the state to "Assigned" IF the approval was rejected.  This is a hard pill to swallow, no pun intended.  Why is the record being set to Assigned if it was rejected?

and the flow is from a lab or who created it?

As you said, the step nr. 11 is changing the value to Assigned, so your question is more about the process perspective rather than the functionality, right?

I might miss the full context but you're right if something requires an approval which is not granted, then I'd expect state to be cancelled, skipped, rejected, ... not assigned 😛
