Abstract:

NBCUniversal is one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies in the development, production, and marketing of entertainment, news, and information to a global audience. With such a large audience, they have numerous developers working with each other to develop integrated solutions across the Now Platform. In doing so, NBCUniversal leverages the out-of-box ServiceNow development tools — along with Chrome/Edge Developer tools — to create clean code effectively.

Through simulated examples, attendees will quickly debug both client- and server-side code with the purpose of making coding faster. In this session, you'll learn how to:

• Debug server-side code using the script debugger
• Make proper use of log statements
• Step through scripts using the ServiceNow debugger
• Debug client-side scripts
• Run test code instantly in the page (no reloading of resources)
• Set up breakpoints and examine call stacks on the client side
