Hi All,

With much help from others (Thanks in particular to Tom F. and then many others who gave edits) I updated and added to a previous version of an ITSM --> CSM Migration whitepaper. Included in this newer version:

  • Updated for Quebec
  • Differences between ITSM and CSM
  • “Sells” the advantages of CSM
  • More detailed tactical guidance
  • More tactical information and focus on the CSM & Industry Data Model and how to model service teams/external customers

The audience for the paper is intended for employees/partners/customers, to assist them in the tactical considerations and steps involved in migrating from ITSM --> CSM. I hope you find it useful and keep in mind it can always be improved so please share any thoughts/suggestions/concerns.

@Erik Ryan , I just got referred to this document, which is very useful. Is there an updated version available for Rome (or San Diego)?

Not currently a due date for the San Diego Version but we do take requests and try to update papers as necessary. This one is one the list and I will definitely post here when available and also try to update you as far as the release date. thanks! -Erik

Thanks for this!. Any ETA on a version for Tokyo? Also, do you have any suggested stakeholder questions for moving current users to OOB CSM?
