0 RESULTS FROM GLOBAL TEXT SEARCH USING NEW ROLE

Hi,

I have been working with ServiceNow for 6 years, but during the last week, I encountered a problem that's been giving me a hard time. My goal is to enable the global search of the platform (the one at the top right) by creating a new role. The steps I followed are as follows:

  • Creation of the new role "global_search_people".
  • Assigning the new role to the Text Search Group named "People" (the default one).
  • Queueing the new role in the glide.ui.can_search property.
  • Adding the new role to the read-only acl of the 3 tables (sys_user, sys_user_group, core_company). These are the 3 tables within the text search group named "People".
  • Assigning the new role to a user specifically created for testing.

The result remains the same.

By impersonating the user created for testing and searching for an existing user's name, it continues to return => 0 results for "abel".

Can you help me understand what I'm doing wrong?

Thank you in advance.
