A user is present in the groups and has been added, but is not getting approvals

HI All,

 

User is present in the groups and has been added, but is not receiving notifications group roles and permissions appropriate to the group. I`ve checked the status of groups which is active. Can I know how to approach and check to get if getting approvals or not.

Hi  @gautamvarma ,  just to clarify - are the approvals not being triggered at all, or is he/she not receiving the notifications of the approvals?

  1. Check Notification Settings

  • Notification Configuration: Ensure that the notification is properly configured for the right user or group and the correct event. Verify the recipient settings to make sure it targets the intended group or individual.

  • Notification Triggers: Check if the notification is triggered by the appropriate event or condition. 

  • Notification Conditions: Review the conditions or filters applied to the notification. Ensure that the conditions are set in a way that aligns with the user or group in question. 

  1. Check the User's Notification Preferences

  • Users might have specific preferences set to mute or suppress certain types of notifications. Check if the user has disabled specific notifications in their user profile settings. These preferences could override system-level notification settings, preventing the user from receiving certain notifications. You can check these preferences under the User Profile > Notifications section.
