Add a "Show Caller Assets" icon next to Configuration Item similar to the "Show Related Incidents" icon next to caller).?

Hi ,

I have a requirement where in i have to add a "Show Caller Assets" icon next to Configuration Item that will display assets associated to the Caller (similar to the "Show Related Incidents" icon next to Caller field).   Clicking on one of the assets in the list should populate that asset it to Configuration item field on the form.

Basically what i have observed is, using the "Show Related Incidents" when we click on one of the incidents in the list, it will take us to that incident form.

Will we be able to populate this selected value to the Configuration Item field on the form? or we have to use the reference qualifier only for Configuration Item field?

Hi Yogish,

I created a UI Macro which is similar to 'user_show_incidents' , but it is not setting value to CI field on incident. It is just opening the particular record which we have selected from UI Macro.

Can you please tell me how you have achieved this functionality.

Hi, I am working on same query. After populating CI in configuration item field, then I need to populate category field as 'software' when CI is populated in configuration item field. If not the category value should be in previous state only. Could some one please help me on this?

This may be a silly question. But I created a user_show_incidents macro. However it is showing below the field instead of on the same row and beside the field. How do I position the  macro as in the screenshot above? Beside the field.
