Hi All and @Ankur Bawiskar ,

On incident form level we have field called Configuration Item, so when a user clicks on the magnifier icon to select the CI's list, they are able to select the restricted options level which we are mentioned under the Configuration Item field dictionary entry level.

Example:

Dictionary entry level we mentioned a condition like: Operational Status is not Retired.
As per the above condition when user clicks magnifier icon form level it should not show the Retired CI's but it's showing to select Retired CI's.

We have gone through few community threads but not luck, can anyone help us to fulfill the requirement.

Thanks,
Lara

Hi,

Did you manage to check if there happens to be a Dictionary Override for the CI?

The page where you check for Dictionary condition scroll to the bottom and check for Dictionary Override Related list.

HI Jaspal,
Many thanks for the response.

We tried using the Dictionary override and it's working fine, but our aim is to implement the logic without using the dictionary overrides. Because we want to implement the logic using dictionary level conditions only because the issue happening all the tables level [Incident, problem and Change request].

Note: When we checked the same behavior on PDI level and it's working fine.

Thanks.

@LaraReddy

what if the behavior required is different for sc_task etc which is also task extended?

So it's recommended to use dictionary override
