Add Image to List collector

Hi,

Does anyone know how to add an image to the list collector drop list?

On my Cat item in the portal I have a list collector that shows the name of the software, I would like to have the image displayed next to the name.

I have tried to add it through a variable attribute but it shows the image id 

ref_auto_completer=AJAXTableCompleter,ref_ac_columns=picture

Anyone got any ideas?

I've used this in the past for getting an image icon next to the user field on the incident form, but it doesn't work for getting the cat item image next to the cat item name in a list picker
