Add plain Text field to portal page so I can enter updates(alpha numeric format)

Hello Developers, I am curious to know how I can add a text field to the portal. This way I can enter anything in it in the form of text notes. I will not be pulling data from any table, just plain on a text field. Please see a screenshot of a sample of my ask. If anyone is familiar with this, please can you guide me

Acceptance criteria are as follows

Given I am a service manager, on my custom portal, e.g. service portal 

I will like to add a text box called the report

so that I can update with information within the report

Something like the Note widget in the following tutorial? It's necessary to follow the tutorial and create it.

I so much appreciate your response truly and I did try to follow your steps but I am not sure this is what I am looking for. I already have an existing portal and all I need to do is add a text field called "Report" where I can just enter random notes as a service manager
