Hi guys 🙂
I have tried to add a new field "IMEI" to the alm_asset and the cmdb_ci - tables. The idea is that when the user change the IMEI on "asset" it will be changed on "CI" just like a lot of other fields on "asset/CI".
Then I have added a new entry ind the "Model Categories":
Then I added a new entry in the "Asset CI Field Mappings".. where the new fields are pointing to each other..
And last I added the field to the "alm_hardware" form and the "cmdb_ci_comm" form..
---
When I update the IMEI field on the "alm_hardware" it will not change IMEI on "cmdb_ci_comm" form.
Why?
---
I'm using this documentation:
https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/kingston-it-service-management/page/product/asset-management/concept/c_ManagingAssets.html#d126074e155
Thanks
Soren

I tested above scenario in Kingston. It is working perfectly fine. Have you added any asset/CI mapping condition in advanced view?

Hi Jayantha
Its working now!
The reason is that the field "Asset" was empty... when I filled something in it - it worked.
Thanks
Soren
