Adding approvers to Watchlist automatically

Hi Everyone,

i wanted to know if there's any way of adding approvers to watchlist without the use of Business rule? (i.e via client script and script include or some other means)
On an HR case whenever an approver is added it should automatically be added to the watchlist of that HR case.

why don't you want to use a Business Rule? It's the easiest and best way, which considers all channels of approval. Imagine a user would approve via mobile app. Then your Client Script / Script Include approach wouldn't work.
