After Australia upgrade OOB Acls missing roles like project_manager, demand_manager is showing empty

Hello,

we have upgraded our instance from Yokohama to Australia. Post upgrade we noticed that for SPM Module, few roles mentioned below have been depreciated (removed from instance) and the related ACLs are affected, because of it as it has not been replaced with roles such as it_portfolio_manager, it_demand_manager etc.

  • portfolio_manager
  • project_user
  • demand_manager
  • program_manager
  • project_manager

I tried to be found out any documentation on the same but was unable to related to how to replace those roles. Can someone help me with any related documentation on the same or share what is the best way. for the custom ACLs we can still go and do the replacement, but for the OOTB ACLs it is somehow not feasible to go and check each ALC with in SPM Module.

Hi @sakila

During major upgrades, the legacy or other customized suite roles are sometimes retired or replaced by module-specific roles.

Resolving these ACL errors and access gaps requires

1) identifying the missing roles and

2) updating the access controls

If you want your old role back , using update set capture it from other instance and import your new versioned instance for temporary fix.
