Approval not triggering properly after using "Revert to New" button

Hi All,

-> We have configured the approval in flow designer with 2 levels of approval in Change-Assess state,

1. change coordinator approval

2. change manager approval

-> once the change coordinator approves the change, it is moving to change manager approval, in this stage if we use "Revert to New" , change moving back to New state.

-> Now the issue is, when the user clicks the "Request Approval" again, the approvals are not triggering properly which means, it skips the change coordinator approval, it is directly triggering change manager approval.

anyone can help me on this?

Thanks.

Hi @MS17

The worst part of change flow is this, believe it takes days to fix it, as it might be some case and not for other cases. Tough to say what went wrong, you can compare with OOTB UI action.

Hi @Dr Atul G- LNG ,

When I checked the flow engine log entry, i could see this error "CreateApprovalRecords: Approval record was not created correctly for user '290638e61b34561480f076e09b4bcb7e' under group '0e4ed8a41b03a91080f076e09b4bcb23'"

will this info helpful?

Thanks.

Hi @MS17

Please check is the same group where the approval should trigger, compare the sys id.

Yes, the group sys_id is same

And one more point, if the approval rejected by change manage and if requested again, the approval is not being skipped, it is skipped only when we use the "Revert to New" ui action.
