approval user in workflow getting stuck in 'running state' even after it is approved.

Hi,

Some of my workflows of a few SR's are getting stuck at "running state" in approval activity of the workflow. The approval activity has been approved by the approver , but still the workflow does not progress and shows running,

I have checked the workflow context and there are no workflow   logs for the same.and in workflow executing activites- managers approval=running.

I have attached the screenshots to help better understand the scenario.

Everyone's system is different.  I don't know how it's set up in your instance.  But generally, approvals are linked to a task.  And the developer would create a ui action (button) (there might be an out-of-box button in console on the task to approve.  If that's the link to the sysapproval_approver.list  (or _list.do)..
The "task" in your list is that HRC000#### .  you can click that and go to the task.  There should be approval buttons in there.  Depending on how it's set up and managed.

Did you ever get this figured out?    I'm seeing the same issue in several workflows.

Hi @Alan42 , I have change my workflow to a flow (flow designer) with properties, run as system and with all the high rôles hr manager, hr basics, hr reader, writer, etc... and i have created ACL with hr manager permissions to write on a record of this table

Hi @Anisse Mahtat ,

Hope you are doing great.

To address this:

  • Review and validate the approval activity configuration.

  •  Examine the workflow context for any anomalies.

  • Ensure that logging is correctly set up and functioning.

  • Investigate the configuration of the "manager's approval" activity.

If the issue persists, consider reaching out to ServiceNow support for further assistance, as this could be indicative of a more complex or specific issue with your instance.
