We are using Change Management today and want to enhance the approval process to account for users being out of office. There is no integration with Exchange to flag a person's profile in ServiceNow when the user in OOO.
Let's say we have 4 groups of users separated in each group by department. When the workflow runs, it will generate change approvals for all users. However, we only need an approval from 1 person in each group for the change to be approved overall. Is this an option? What are the best practices around change with this type of scenario?

Under workflow activity check for "Condition for approval".
The first response from each group option can be use here, if you are using "approval group" activity.

Hello,
Firstly yes when you build a workflow for Change you can specify that one approve per group is enough. Also of course best practice is to always have multiple members of a group as well as encourage delegate setup in the event it is ok with company policy. I always encourage the groups to have multiple members so that there is never a work stoppage due to an approval not being answered.
