Hi Team, My service is currently assigned to a Thailand group based on the country. However, I want to assign it based on specific locations (sites) within Thailand. Should I create location-specific groups and add members accordingly?

Hi @yoli1 ,
You can create location specific groups and add parent group as Thiland, route based on the location (if no location found for a user you can assign it to Thiland group as default group)
FYI: Roles from the parent group inherits to child groups however members will not inherit
Hope this helps.
Thank you,

reate Location-Specific Groups:
- Navigate to the "Groups" module in ServiceNow.
- Create new groups for each location or site within Thailand that you want to use for assignment. Give these groups meaningful names that correspond to the locations.
Add Members to Location-Specific Groups:
- Add the appropriate members to each location-specific group. These members should be the individuals responsible for handling tasks or services at each specific location.
Define Assignment Rules:
- Go to the "Assignment Rules" module in ServiceNow.
- Create or modify assignment rules that specify when and how tasks or services should be assigned to these location-specific groups. You can define conditions based on location attributes, such as the "Location" field on the task or service record.
Apply Assignment Rules to Your Service:
- Now, apply the assignment rules you defined to the specific service or task type for which you want to assign based on locations.
- Navigate to the "Service Catalog" or "IT Service Management" module, depending on your use case.
- Find the service or task type you want to configure and edit its properties.
- In the properties, look for an option to specify assignment rules. Select the rules you created earlier.
