ATF Validation: File Attachment to a Specific Field

Hi everyone,

I am currently working on an Automated Test Framework (ATF) scenario in the Xanadu (Next Experience) UI, where I need to validate the file‑attachment functionality for a specific field on a form. The requirement is to attach a file to a designated field and confirm that the attachment behaves correctly within the updated UI.

As part of this validation, I need to ensure the following:

  • The record loads successfully in the Xanadu interface
  • The attachment-enabled field is visible and accessible
  • The “Add Attachment” component opens and functions properly
  • A file can be uploaded without errors
  • The uploaded file appears correctly in the attachments list
  • Any field-level or UI behaviors triggered by the attachment are working as expected

If anyone has experience handling file attachments in ATF under the Xanadu UI, or best practices for validating attachments tied to specific form fields, I would appreciate your insights or recommendations.

There is no built-in step to add attachment to a field.

You can only attach the attachment to a form.
