Attach a file in Catalog Item as attachment

Hi All,

I want to attach one Excel Sheet as an attachment in one Catalog Item so that whenever form loads the attachment will be visible and any user can download it.

Can anyone let me know how to achieve this?

If you want to hide the file in service portal, Instead of uploading the original file in the catalog item, you can upload the file in a shared folder outside of the portal server, e.g. SharePoint drive, Google Drive, etc.

Then in the description of the catalog item, the link to this file can be given.

Please try this out and see if this solves your requirement.

Appreciate your time subhadeep. Have tried SharePoint but there seems to be some hurdles with trying to add an Owner? Ideally our goal is to give the onus back to Owners of the links/files so if the file requires changes, then Owners will be able to do so from their side, without having to raise a catalogue item request each time. If there is any other way to do this in ServiceNow that would be great. Regards, Winnie.
