Attachment/image pasted in html field visible in Core portal

We’re working with a custom application workspace where fulfillers can paste images into an HTML-type field. These images are stored as attachments, which is expected. However, we want to ensure that:

•  Images remain visible in the HTML field for fulfillers.
•  Images do not appear in the Activity Stream of:
  • The Workspace
  • The Core Portal

• What We’ve Tried

  • We removed the HTML and attachment fields from the Activity Stream using “Configure Activity Fields”.

    • This successfully hides the images from the Workspace Activity.
    • However, the images still appear in the Core Portal Activity Stream.

  • To address this, we created a Script Include that removes the table_sys_id from the sys_attachment record associated with the pasted image

• This initially removes the image from the Core Portal activity.
• But after some time, the image breaks in the HTML field — likely due to the attachment becoming orphaned or being cleaned up.

• Is there a supported or recommended way to:

  • Keep the image visible in the HTML field,
  • But prevent it from appearing in the Activity Stream for requestor as well as fulfiller.
