Auto fill variables from previous request

Hi Team,

i have a requirement where in my catalog form i want to pull details from previous request the user has submitted and autofill the Variables. Please help me with the script to use

Do you want to Extend the end date of your request? Yes

Please enter the previous request number? ReqXXXX

Name - autofill based on requestnumber provided

Laptop Make - autofill based on requestnumber provided

Model - autofill based on requestnumber provided

S# - autofill based on requestnumber provided

Start Date: - autofill based on requestnumber provided

Is this auto-population occurring on the catalog item pre-submission? Have you attempted to write a GlideAjax and Script Include as of yet? We can help with guidance if you can show as what you've produced so far.
