back up my training class instance to GITLAB (or anywhere), time sensitive

Hi all.
I'm new to SN development, still taking the training class for developers.

I've been racing the clock to finish training before my current instance expires (in about 5 hours from now).

I'm not sure I'll make it.

In the course, I was instructed to set up a link to GITLAB, which I did. As the labs have progressed, I have been committing changes and advancing the version number.  What I am trying to figure out is how I back up everything I have done in my instance since day 1 of class so that when it expires, I can launch the new instance and recover all my work.

I'm just not familiar enough with the processes to do it yet. I have visited GITLAB, and I see the various versions that I have saved in the past. I don't see where I would try to "download" or "restore" an instance to the state it is in today. Also, in ServiceNow, I don't see where to "back up" the instance (or at least all my changes) to GITLAB.

I'm hoping somebody can point me to clear newbie-friendly (new to SN and GITLAB) instructions for getting all my work backed up to GITLAB, and for retrieving  it from/to my new instance once I set up again.

Alternatively, if there is another way to back everything up, please let me know.
Thanks.

Hi @wengang1

Easiest short-term fix, if you haven't done this already, is to request an extension of the instance:

Funny. It said I had used up all my extensions (though I had a few more instance).

Yet when it expired, I refreshed the screen and it added 24 hours.
I opened the instance to confirm that it was the same one.

Hmmm.  Well, I've basically finished the course.

24 hours should give me time to go over the last sections more thoroughly.

Thanks for replying.
