Banner/Announcement in Agent Workspace

I am currently trying to create an announcement/banner that I can update frequently with critical information for my helpdesk agents. I would like this to apply only to Agent Workspace. The two ways that I know to make an announcement do not work with agent workspace:

1) The Announcements module under Service Portal, these only can be applied to portals

2) The Next Experience banner announcements, this only applies to the Next Experience UI which our environment does not use

 

Is there another way to display announcement/banners in Agent Workspace?

I would also love to know if there is a solve for banners in Agent Workspace. Following. Not sure if you found a solve for this use case?

The Agent workspace is a great additional tab that the support teams work from to manage their workload, yet functionality seems to be limited to updating the dashboard instead of an Announcement or Banner item that can pop while they are working from Lists or their Task Tabs.
