Hi folks,
We have requirement to use the plugin: Password Safe External Credential Storage for Discovery https://store.servicenow.com/sn_appstore_store.do#!/store/application/c2847ae34fe8724088a3fa218110c7...
from Beyond Trust for Discovery external credentials. However this requires us to set up credential in the following format
- i.e., managedSystem | managedAccount in this there is ‘|’ pipe character b/w managedSystem & managedAccount in this.
- managedSystem = target host to be discovered.
- managedAccount = local username (windows domain user not allowed) on the target host.
so this way, it requires one credential to be configured per target Host.
As there is no 'one credential working for many hosts' in this, it is not a preferred way to have external credentials for Discovery.
for ex. if a customer has have 400 servers to be discovered using this set up, then we are required to configure 400 credentials.
Has anyone managed to use this plugin in 'one credential working for many hosts' way? if so please guide.
