Can i delete a "customer update" from Update Set

Dear friends,

Can i delete a "customer update" from Update Set? Once change in a business rule is captured in my update set, can I delete that?

If I have already deleted the customer updates, is there a way to retrieve them? I made the mistake of deleting them instead of moving them to the Default update set.  Please help.
