Hi Swathi,

Request you to go through the comment made by Shouvik here: Is it possibIe to create a Request Item out of an Incident? . Hope this will clear your idea about the relationship between RITM and REQ.

I hope this helps. Please mark correct/helpful based on impact

Hi Swathi,

Hope this link helps you.

REQ vs RITM Best Practices

Moreover would suggest you to go through the OOB flow of Service Catalog i.e. create REQ--- RITM and then task.

Hi Swathi,

You can do it but not from the Service catalog UI. Any requests created from the catalog view, will have the request form tagged to all requested items. So OOB, it is not supported as it a means of grouping all items of a user which can be tracked via the request number. So i don't think it is a best practice unless you clarify the use case.

Thanks

I just need to raise a ticket, and it should have multiple sub task related to it, i dont need Request. But problem am facing is when i select requester name from form or set from scheduled script it is going blank on saving, Bcz REQ and RITM or inter related. So can you please help me with this?

Do you have any business rule that synchronize requester data between request and requested item?

OOB, The requested for field is available on the request table.

Thanks
