Can we run inbound action as system?

Hi Folks,
I have created an inbound action that captures customer's response to additional comments and changes the state to wip from blocked when customer replies to email. But the inbound action script runs as the customer. Customers do not have roles currently and as a result the inbound action does not update the record as they do not have access to case record . Can we update the record as system or admin from inbound email action ?
