Cat item regex not showing message under variable

Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help point me in the right direction. We've recently migrated to ESC from SP, and our cat items are no longer showing regex validation under the variable if you enter something non-matching to the regex.
In SP, it works just fine.
My regex on this example has to start with 7.
SP shows as:
ESC shows as:
When you submit, it throws the error.
Any ideas?

please make sure below steps are followed properly
step 1- Please create a regex record in 'Question Regular Expressions' table
step 2- Add that regex record in variables 'Validation Regex' field
please refer screenshot below

Hey @sejal1107 , regex are definitely configured correct. They are showing and working as expected in service portal, but not on employee center. Same cat item, same variable etc.
