Catalog Tasks that Spawn / Create additional Catalog Tasks

What is the best way to conditionally spawn Service Catalog Tasks?

Say that the assignment group working on service catalog Task 3 needs to make a decision...  And that decision will determine whether or not service catalog Task 4 is necessary.  How should that be modeled?

Do I use a Question / Variable and make it visible Only on the SC Task level, and then have my workflow branch off of that?  That's what I'm leaning towards, unless there is a better / easier way.  Thoughts?  Thanks.

That is exactly how we handle situations like that, with a dropdown it is then very configurable and scalable if you might need to add more.

The other option is a decision table, added to the flow but you would still need a decision from someone..
